The Reading Breakthrough Intensive is a structured literacy intervention program designed to help students move from frustration and guessing to stronger, more confident reading.

  • This is not homework help.

  • This is not general tutoring.

  • This is focused, research-informed reading instruction that teaches students what to do when words get hard.

What This Program Is

 

The Reading Breakthrough Intensive program is a 4-week small-group intervention for students in Grades 4–6 who need explicit, structured reading instruction.

 

Over 8 sessions, students are taught how to:

  • decode words accurately instead of guessing

  • notice and fix errors

  • build fluency through repeated, supported reading

  • strengthen comprehension through guided thinking

  • develop confidence as readers

 

The goal is not just more practice. The goal is a breakthrough.

What Makes This Different

 

Structured, Not Random.

  • Every session is intentionally sequenced. Students are not just reading more. They are learning a system for how to read.

 

Small-Group and High-Support

  • Students work in a supportive environment where instruction is direct, interactive, and closely guided.

What Students Work on During The 4 Weeks

 

Week 1: Building the Decoding Foundation

  • Students learn to slow down, look at every sound, and stop guessing.

 

Week 2: Strengthening Fluency and Control

  • Students begin reading more smoothly and accurately with repeated practice and supported sentence reading.

Week 3: Building Flexibility

  • Students work on vowel changes, error detection, and reading with more attention to meaning.

 

Week 4: Increasing Complexity and Independence

  • Students tackle blends, apply their learning in connected reading, and show greater independence and confidence.

Built for Students Who Need a Breakthrough

 

Who: Grades 4–6 students who are capable but stuck guessing, frustrated, and lacking confidence.

 

Details: 4 Weeks · 2 Sessions/week · Early Evening · Starting May 2026

Founding Cohort: $997

This initial group is offered at a reduced rate as we launch the program and gather feedback. Future cohorts will be offered at the full rate of $1,450.
